- 150 gr cooked chickpeas 5.5 oz. (can be fresh or from a jar)
- 2 TBSP sesame seeds alternatively you can use some ready made tahine
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 lemon
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper

Instructions
- Wash the cooked chick peas and let the excess moisture drip off.
- In a non-stick pan, roast the sesame seeds without adding any oil for a couple of minutes.
- They should turn slightly darker. Use low heat so that they don’t burn!
- Press lemon and pour its juice into a bowl.
- Using a garlic press, add the garlic to the lemon juice.
- Put all ingredients into a bowl and add 3 Tbsp of olive oil.
- Add some salt and pepper according to taste.
- Use a hand blender to mix the ingredients until you have a smooth, even texture.
- Let the whole thing cool down prior to serving with toast or fresh bread.
Recipe Notes
Tip: if you make it the one day in advance the flavors will be even more intense!
