- 6 red onions
- 1 TBSP sugar demerara or regular
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt

Instructions
- Finely chop the onions into thin slices.
- Heat 2-3 Tbsp of olive oil in a pan at medium heat and add the onions stirring frequently.
- When they become soft, add 1 heaped tablespoon of sugar.
- Continue to stir frequently until they start to caramelize.
- Add a pinch of salt and stir.
- Remove them and let them cool down.
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
Recipe Notes
Tip: you can add different types of herbs in order to come up with exotic flavors. Be creative!
