Salsa Brava

A staple of Spanish cuisine. Is used as a base for many different recipes.

Instructions
  1. Peel and cook the carrots.
  2. Slice the onions and the garlic and fry them lightly in some olive oil. Be careful to to burn them!
  3. After a couple of minutes, add the sieved tomatoes, cut the paprika in slices and add also.
  4. Once the carrots are cooked, cut them into slices and add them to the rest together with some salt.
  5. Let everything simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove and let it cool down for a couple of minutes.
  7. When its no longer boiling hot, blend everything using a blender or handblender.
  8. While doing so, add tabasco and/or chillies according to taste.
Recipe Notes

Tip: This is the famous sauce that you is used in patatas bravas. You can also use it for anything else you want to spice up, like hardboiled eggs or meat.
